IT'S TIME FOR CHANGE IN CLARINGTON
It’s time for new people with new ideas on Clarington Council. As Ward 1 Councillor, I would leverage my rich experience living and volunteering in this community to bring fresh perspectives and ideas that are relevant to the needs of the people who live here. The past several years have seen massive change, and we need to ensure that we navigate the future of Clarington in a way that addresses local economic challenges and issues in a positive way.
PLEDGE YOUR SUPPORT FOR LAREY REYNOLDS
MEET LAREY REYNOLDS
Larey is a driven community builder, having lived and contributed to Clarington since 1986. Over this time, he has seen the community grow and change – from his experience living here with his wife and two young and active children in a new-build subdivision, to empty-nesters who enjoy watching their three grandchildren play in our community parks and experience all this amazing community has to offer. After a 32-year career at GM, he has found his passion in community planning and politics. He has now made it his life’s work to leverage his experience here and make Clarington the best place to live.

ELECT LAREY REYNOLDS
Support and grow our local economy
Support existing and attract new local businesses, protect the larger companies that have chosen to operate here, work towards attracting new large companies to the area, and elevate Clarington as a tourism destination.
Improve the efficiency of our tax dollars
Ensure no increases in what we pay while finding efficiencies that will be put towards improvements for high level services. Focus on making sure that our Council is taking advantage of every Federal or Provincial resource available.
Enhance sustainability and health standards
The Durham York Energy Centre (Incinerator) has sparked concern. I will address this with frequent air quality testing with accessible results. I will ensure the right decisions are made regarding the new proposed Greenbelt expansion into Clarington.
Create a best-in-class livable community
Protect our farmland from development, encourage densification where it makes sense (transit hubs, shopping centres), provide affordable and accessible housing options for seniors, re-invest in our public parks, playgrounds, and trails.
